KA-21-007 – Low throughput, fully-automatic palletizer for 55 gallon drums, designed for palletizing up to 5 drums per minute depending on settings. Includes 1 drum pick-up head, forming a 2×2 pattern on a 48″x48″ pallet. Includes integrated light curtain to allow the safe ejection of a completed pallet , however preventing operator access during operation. Includes an interlocked safety door for access to the infeed conveyor.
System included a pallet dispenser and a stretch wrapper.
Machine Configuration
- Palletizer: Gantry style, 2-axis Cartesian robot with servo driven x-axis, pneumatic driven y-axis, and a pneumatic cylinder for the z-axis
- Max Throughput: up to 5 drums per minute
- Container Types: 55 gallon plastic drums, each weighing ~600 lbs.
- Pallet Dispenser: one pallet size (48″ x 48″), with capacity for 10 pallets
- Safety: light curtain and safety access door
- Stretch Wrapper: pallets ejected from palletizer are transitioned onto the stretch wrapper, while finished pallets are transitioned to a staging conveyor for removal
